    Email Marketing Trends – 2018

E-Mail marketing is important for business growth as email is still the best medium to communicate with customers and prospects. So, it’s very important for businesses to develop an email list and communicate with them frequently. One of the popular Email Marketing service provider MyEmma published a blog post about their Email Marketing Predictions for 2018, and how those fared over the year. Here are some highlights from that post, The first one of our email marketing predictions for 2018 was a bigger focus on engagement, rather than acquisition. Some companies lost 50% of their email subscriber base (as a result of GDPR implemented in the EU). However, the news…

    New Server Cake!

If you had tried to access this blog over the last few days, you would have experienced very slow loading time or website being inaccessible. That was because, my trusted web-host of 9 years suddenly seems to have made some major changes on their servers and all my websites were loading very slow. One was totally down. I tried fixing the issue with their tech support, but they were not able to help me. Previously, for the most part, either I didn’t have to contact the support or my issue was solved quickly over chat. It never escalated beyond that. But this time, even after a couple of days, there…

BREAKING NEWS during our Thrissur Trip

I know I am a bit late in revealing this ‘BREAKING NEWS’ that actually happened during our Thrisur (Kerala) trip, last month. But the video got ready only now. So without further ado, here it is πŸ˜€   I wonder why we don’t find giant wheels at exhibitions in Chennai nowadays. I wonder how many years it’s been since I was on one, before this. Anyway, it was a good experience for us although we were the only riders on that giant wheel on that day πŸ™‚ Destination Infinity Our Thrissur and Tirupati tour videos are getting ready and you can expect a few ‘out-of-the-box’ travelogue videos from now on.Β Β

A Few Deepavali Vaana Vedikkaigal Captured on my Cam

Here are a few Deepavali Vaana Vedikkaigal (Fire Crackers @ Sky) captured on my camera this year (2018) in and around my home at Chennai. Actually there is a flyover (bypass road) that goes over a small lake. I managed to stop there for a few minutes and shoot the video with the reflection of the cracker lights on the water surface, which I have included in the below video. As promised in my earlier post, I didn’t burst a single cracker this time πŸ™‚ Destination Infinity

I Support Time Restrictions on Deepavali Fire Crackers

In Tamil Nadu, where I live, Court has permitted people to burst firecrackers from 6 A.M. to 7 A.M. and 7 P.M. to 8 P.M. I welcome this Judgement as it is not a blanket ban on firecrackers, but instead seeks to reduce them slowly. I encourage people to adhere to the timing.Β If possible, I request people to refrain from fireworks altogether for the reasons mentioned here – among others. Of course I am planning not to burst crackers this year – irrespective of how much its going to irk whom. I am actually proud that I have refrained from bursting polluting crackers for the major part of the last…

Toothpicks as an Alternative to Mouthwash, Mouth Freshener, Chewing Gum

While brushing our teeth regularly is an important aspect of maintaining our oral hygiene, that in itself may not be sufficient to maintain healthy teeth. While there are options like mouthwash, mouth freshener and dental chewing gums, each one has their own limitations. That’s where herbal chewing picks with flavoured oils might be useful. In fact, it’s an all-in-one product as it can combine the advantages of all the above products. One of the biggest causes for dental problems are the food particles struck up between teeth. Bacteria thrives on these areas creating dental problems, bad teeth odour, etc. Many a time we gargle water to remove some of it.…
